Founder Journey

Our Founder's Journey

Lakshmi Narayana N. is a technologist, entrepreneur, and environmental advocate dedicated to water conservation and ecosystem restoration. With more than three decades of global professional experience across technology, manufacturing, enterprise transformation, and agriculture, he brings a unique blend of systems thinking, execution capability, and long-term ecological commitment to the mission of Oasis Water Foundation.

As a Founder Member of Oasis Water Foundation — an initiative of Lakeforest Development Foundation — he is committed to rejuvenating lakes, ponds, watersheds, and rural water ecosystems that support farmers, wildlife, and future generations.

Driven by a deep personal conviction that water is a shared natural responsibility rather than a commercial commodity, Lakshmi Narayana established Oasis Water Foundation with a vision to revive traditional water bodies, improve groundwater sustainability, support biodiversity, and strengthen long-term ecological resilience. He strongly advocates practical, action-oriented environmental work — transforming dry and neglected landscapes into living ecosystems that benefit villages, wildlife, and future generations alike. Sujitha

Asha S.

Program Coordinator

Asha S. is a grassroots water conservation leader from Kolar District, Karnataka, known for her work in reviving drought-affected lakes and empowering rural communities through sustainable water management. She leads Arohana Grameenabhivruddhi Samsthe (Arohana), a women-led rural development organization focused on lake rejuvenation, groundwater recharge, rainwater harvesting, and community participation. Through Arohana's innovative "desilting-to-farm" model, she has helped restore multiple water bodies while creating livelihood opportunities for rural women.
Her work has contributed to improved groundwater levels, better agricultural sustainability, and stronger community ownership of local water resources. Asha's efforts have been recognized by organizations such as The Better India, Biome Trust, and other environmental and rural development platforms. At Oasis Water Foundation, Asha S. serves as Program Coordinator, bringing her extensive field experience.
